New song: Midnight Beachboy

In Hidden Number, News on June 3, 2010 at 11:52 pm

We submit for your approval, a new song full of otherworldly delights.  Hitherforeto, is our most recently written song, though there are more that are yet to be released.

This could be considered to be a song that Josh contributed to the most significantly to date, and also the song where we see Josh first reaching his full creative momentum in the band since he joined 2 years ago.  As mentioned in previous posts, we’re very happy for his contributions of creativity and fudge squares.  On a personal note, these are some of my favorite lyrics.  Dean toiled over those guilded words, and then toiled even further in his laboratory, mixing the tracks down and making our backing vocals sound human.  Many of the songs we have been posting lately will appear in an upcoming vinyl release.

We hope you enjoy, and please let us know what you think about this song!

Lyrics after the break….

The Midnight Beachboy
You’ve brought us all to the ends of this earth
The chains been locked and the brick has been dropped
You’ve left out words, our true thoughts in the breeze
These broken hopes they will live on beneath the sea beneath
We’ve asked of none and of none we are made
These empty vessels sail time and through space
An empty vestibule is all that remains
You laugh and play to the pain we have all displayed
in vain
Chrysomallos
You live this slow death of all you betrayed
And this and the ending of all that we’ve made
We now take back no less than all that we gave
You laugh and play to the pain we display
These golden beaches lie ripped torn and pieces
Chrysomallos
These golden fleeces lie ripped torn in pieces
Chrysomallos

What do you think?

Update: This song is now available on our website, iLike, facebook, soundcloud, in the Hidden Number channel rotation on Last.fm, and eventually on MySpace.
